Mark Dodge Chrysler Jeep

How Does Factory Ordering Work?

A 'Factory Order' is a vehicle specifically built by the manufacturer to your specifications, brought to MARK DODGE, and then delivered to you!
Here’s how it works:

First, your Order Specialist will ask you a few questions about what you’re looking for to help point you in the right direction.  You can begin by using the build tools on the manufacturer’s website, where you can see all available options and configurations.  You’ll receive a transparent quote with our MARK DODGE price compared to the MSRP of the vehicle.

Your Order Specialist will communicate with you via phone & email to ensure your expectations of the process are clear, and that your specifications on the vehicle are being fulfilled.  In some instances, it may take a few quotes and comparisons to weigh out all your options, but our team will make it easy for you.

 •   Committing to your order is all done virtually, including signing paperwork, committing to the build specifications, & covering all disclosures.
 •   E-signatures and a wire transfer will seal your deal, and your build process begins!
 •   We require a $1,000 non-refundable deposit, to ensure that each factory order we place is guaranteed to make it to its new home-destination.

Once your order is submitted, you are price-protected against any increases on the manufacturer’s MSRP.  At this point in the process, all parties (yourself, MARK DODGE, and the vehicle manufacturer) have all committed to the vehicle’s price, specifications, and who it will be sold to.

Once your vehicle has begun the build process and is assigned a VIN number, we will let you know!

During the build process, both you and your Order Specialist can track the progress online. Our team will do their best to provide an estimated date of when your vehicle will be built; builds can take anywhere between 4-6 months (and is what we see in most cases).

When the vehicle arrives to its last stop before the dealership, one of our Sales Managers will give you a call.  Usually, this means your vehicle is about 7-10 days away from it arriving at MARK DODGE. By this point, there are a few things we can work on before its arrival:

  1. You’ll discuss the details of any trade-in value and chosen delivery method (if you intend to pick it up in Lake Charles or would like it shipped to your home).
  2. Then, a Finance Manager will be in touch to coordinate a virtual meeting with you. There they will discuss all final paperwork such as loans, warranties, and any additional financial products of interest.
When your vehicle arrives, our Delivery Specialist Team will process it for delivery.  Once your vehicle is delivered to us, it will go through the process of being “consumer-ready” so it’s ready for you. This involves activating features, filling air, gas, and fluids, and inspecting for safety and damage that may have happened in transit.

If you’re planning to have the vehicle shipped directly to you, our Logistics Manager will reach out to help coordinate this.  By now, you fully own and are insured to the vehicle – and we will connect you with a third party to assist in transporting your customized car or truck right to your door!
