Who Is On Your Team
Who Is On Your Factory Order Team?
Five roles handle a Mark Dodge factory order. An Order Specialist guides your build and stays your main contact through production. A Sales Manager takes over when your vehicle reaches Port Allen. A Finance Manager finalizes the paperwork with you virtually. Delivery Specialists inspect and prep the vehicle on site. A Logistics Manager arranges shipping if the vehicle is coming to you.
- One main contact, start to build
- Finance handled virtually
- Inspection before every delivery
Who helps me build and place the order?
Your Order Specialist. They guide you through choosing the make, model, trim, and every configuration decision, explain what to expect from a factory order, and place the order with the manufacturer. They communicate your preferences both to the factory and to the team at Mark Dodge, all remotely and at your convenience.
Through the entire build, the Order Specialist stays your main point of contact for updates, tracking, and questions. When the brand's order tracker shows a code you do not recognize, or shows nothing new for weeks, this is the person who can look at the order itself and tell you what is actually happening.
They are also the check on the consumer build tools: before anything is submitted, they verify your configuration against the current factory order guide so the order the plant receives is one it will actually build.
Who calls me when my vehicle gets close?
The assigned Sales Manager. They reach out when they see your vehicle has made it to the final rail location at Port Allen, Louisiana. They review your deal with you, then introduce the finance and logistics teams to finish out the purchase.
The Sales Manager works on site at Mark Dodge, which matters at this stage: they can physically verify the condition and status of your vehicle rather than reading it off a screen. This is also when your trade-in value is finalized and your delivery method is confirmed.
Who handles financing, warranties, insurance, and titling?
Your assigned Finance Manager. They set up a virtual meeting with you to finalize everything still open on the purchase: financing, warranties, verifying your insurance, titling, and anything else pending at that point. You review the documents at your own pace before signing anything.
You are welcome to bring your own lender to this meeting or use Mark Dodge's preferred lenders; that choice and the rest of the money side are covered on the deposit, financing, title, and tax page. For unbiased preparation, the Federal Trade Commission's guide to financing a vehicle is worth ten minutes before the meeting.
Who inspects and preps the vehicle?
The Delivery Specialists. They work on site alongside your Sales Manager, performing the pre-delivery inspection and setting the vehicle up for your use: features activated and calibrated, fluids filled, and the whole vehicle checked for safety, functionality, and cosmetic transport damage.
Nothing is released until it clears that inspection. If your build rode a rail car for two weeks, this is the step that catches transit damage while it is still the carrier's problem instead of yours. What PDI covers, term by term, is in the factory order glossary.
Once you have your VIN, running it through the free NHTSA recall lookup before delivery is a sensible extra check on any new vehicle, from any seller.
Who gets the vehicle to my door?
The Logistics Manager. Once the vehicle is ready for you, meaning it is owned and insured under your name, they arrange shipping or having the vehicle driven to you. They work with a select group of third-party carriers to make that leg quick and seamless.
If you would rather come get it, that works too; some buyers fly into Lake Charles and drive home. Either way, the handoff is coordinated around the arrival window your Order Specialist has been tracking with you all along.
Team questions, answered
Is my Order Specialist my contact for the whole process?
Through the build, yes. Your Order Specialist is your main point of contact for updates, tracking, and questions from the first conversation until your vehicle reaches Port Allen. From there the Sales Manager steps in to review the deal and introduce the finance and logistics teams.
Do I have to meet anyone in person?
No. The Order Specialist works with you remotely, and the Finance Manager meets you virtually to finalize financing, warranties, insurance verification, and titling. You only come to Lake Charles if you choose to pick the vehicle up yourself rather than have it shipped.
Who do I contact with a tracking question?
Your Order Specialist. The brand tracking sites show the stage your vehicle is in, but your Order Specialist can look at the order itself, explain the status code, and tell you when an estimated ship date has been assigned. That beats refreshing a status page.
When does the Logistics Manager get involved?
At the end, once the vehicle is owned and insured under your name and ready for you to receive. If you want the vehicle shipped or driven to your address, the Logistics Manager coordinates it through a select group of third-party carriers.
